What a wonderfully creepy book. Southern serial killer, smart descriptions of life in both a rural town in the South as well as upstate New York. I immensely enjoyed this book! Hope there will be more coming from this new author! Hooked in Memphis
The book was very exciting to read. It kept me interested and waiting to find out what happened next. If you enjoy thrillers you will love this book. I want to share the story with you but I won't. I will let you read it. New Yorker
I loved this book and I couldn't put it down. The plot is full of surprising twists and turns and reveals one of the most chilling serial killers I've ever encountered in fiction. I've been recommending this book to everyone--the non-stop action is very well crafted and suspenseful. I look forward to more books from this author! Skywatcher
Quite simply, I didn’t want it to end. Todd in LA
Fascinating - couldn't put it down. This book was of special interest to me as I've lived in the mid-South and upstate NY. This author has woven a very creepy tale! P. Pehlman
Wow, this was a great book...couldn't put it down. The descriptions of the people and places created a superb visual in my mind. It left me wanting more and I'm hoping we get more from Ms. Yasas! Great read!!! A. Rudis
A friend recommended this to me. Had already heard of and read another book (different genre) by the author. But this is her personal best to date and one of the scariest books I think I've ever read. J.M. D'Erasmo
I found this book to be quite a spellbinding tale. I could hardly put it down. It kept me awake nights reading through to the end. Then I didn't want it to end. I recommend this one to all who enjoy a good suspense story, with twists and turns. A very good read. Armida Torres, President, Friends of Sylmar Library (California)
I found in reading this book that it was nearly impossible to put down. There were some surprising plot twists that separates this from other books in this genre. This is a perfect vacation read! Gary F.
Good luck led me to this book and I devoured it. The author draws vivid characters against a well-paced plot involving a serial killer. There are some interesting twists throughout the way and when it's done, there is an expectation for more. Hopefully, Kathleen Yasas will continue demonstrating her ability to unfold a good story. Wonderful, could not put this book down! What is even more amazing is that I live in the town it is actually set in and lived there during the time frame in the book! While fiction, she nailed some of the "characters" to a tee. This is a real page turner and has lots of twists, some you never see coming. A must for any fan of murder mysteries or thrillers! I hope that you are writing the continuing story..you left us eagerly awaiting what happens next. When you pick up the book and start reading you are immediately drawn in and you can''t put it down. The twists and turns were endless..I found myself taking the book with me wherever I went just so I could finish it. It was a wonderful mystery. Cindy Hall Brown

Fantastic! I don''t normally read fiction, but I got hooked on this story immediately and was compelled to finish it. It is extremely well-written with a superb combination of humor and dead serious shock. Now I am eagerly awaiting Kathleen''s next masterpiece.

It took me a while to nerve up to read "If Thine Eye Be Evil" because I usually don''t enjoy murder mysteries, but Kathleen hit the nail on the head with this one. The story has interesting twists and turns, vivid characters and settings and best of all, is gripping, making you want to devour the entire book in one sitting. I had to force myself to put it down, but finished it in three days - I wish I''d had the luxury to read it straight through. I will re-read this book and look forward to more of Ms. Yasas'' works. Rose
I had the pleasure of meeting the author and for someone with such a sunny personality, she can spin a very dark tale. I usually guess the murderer but she "GOT ME" - never suspected the person in plain sight! I could not put it down once I started - I had to know how it ended. Blytheville Fan
As someone who reads Koontz and King, this book holds its own next to the likes of these authors. As a first novel, Ms. Yasas has captured the essence of the genre and has woven a captivating tale of terror. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a chilling book that is difficult to put down. P.M. Williams
Great recommendation for any book club. Well-written, fast-read, can''t wait for the sequel! San Francisco Book Club
This is one of those books that you can''t put down because you have to know what happens next as soon as possible! Interesting plot and written well, this is a winner. J. Reynolds
My kids and I have enjoyed Kathleen''s previous work for children I was excited to hear of this new venture and now can see that mystery is an even greater showcase for her writing talent. She shines. Her characters are honest and meaty, the plot and the action are full of suspence and her dialogue grabs you and drops ypu right in the middle of the action. Can''t wait to see what she comes up with mext!
